TERMS & CONDITIONS
The rental of this apartment is on a nightly basis with a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights depending on the time of year. Check in is from 4pm and departure is by 10am.
The letting of the property is only to those named on the booking form. Strictly two persons only can be accommodated. Sub-letting of the property is strictly prohibited. There is parking space for one vehicle only.
The use of the apartment and its equipment is entirely at the hirer's risk and no responsibility can be accepted by the owners for death or injury to the hirer or a member of his or her party or for loss or damage to their belongings, including motor vehicles while on the premises. We strongly advise that you take out your own holiday insurance.
At the time of booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit is paid with the full balance due 6 weeks prior to the booking start date. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment can be made through the Stripe payment system at the time of booking using all major credit cards.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE.
If the booking is cancelled 60 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If a booking is cancelled less than 60 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
Any refund is subject to a £25 admin/banking charge.
If the property can be re-let for the original dates the deposit will be refunded less £25 admin/banking charge. In the unlikely event of the proprietors cancelling the booking, a full refund of payment will be made and the hirer will have no further claim against the owner. We (the owners) will also do our best to find alternative options for you the hirer.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included in the tariffs quoted. Free Wi-Fi access is also included (however we cannot accept any responsibility if this free service is unavailable for any reason).
Electricity used to run the EV charger will be billed on a usage basis as per the charger app. A usage report will be provided to you and payment for this should be made in cash.
CHARGING VIA A CABLE FROM THE APARTMENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AS IT IS AGAINST THE RULES OF OUR INSURERS.
We regret we cannot accommodate children or babies.
Guests must be over the age of 21 when the booking commences unless previously agreed with the owners PRIOR to booking.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.
Strictly no smoking in Piper's Hut - anyone smoking, or suspected of smoking in the property will be asked to leave without refund.
Candles are not permitted to be used in Piper's Hut under any circumstances.
We, the owners, reserve the right to enter the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance.
The named hirer is responsible for maintaining the property, furniture, fixtures and fittings to the standard in which the property was hired. Any damage sustained to the above mentioned will result in payment from the named hirer for costs of repairs or cleaning. Please advise us of any damages that should occur during your stay. Replacement items will be charged at cost. We would appreciate if you could leave the property as you find it.
The contract is between the Hirer and the owners of Piper's Hut, Mr & Mrs Mackenzie.
